The full sized intense rose pink fringe like flowers blooms in whorls at the top of the thick stems in summer, attracting bees and butterflies. Best bloom in full sun and well drained soil. Has good resistance to powdery mildew. Monarda didyma is a native host for several moths, including Gray Marvel and Hermit Sphinx. The flower
